Welcome To St. Mark's Church
About St. Mark's Church
St. Mark's origins go back indirectly to 1906 when Catholic
cottages requested a chapel of ease to accommodate
them during the summer vacation at their lake cottages.
Bishop McQuaid gave permission and in 1907 the "Star of
the Sea" chapel was built on Edgemere Drive for $2000.

As our community grew, St. Mark's was constructed on
Kuhn Road in 1965 for $100,000 and was opened by Fr.
Joseph Donovan.  Fr. Thomas Erdle became Pastor in
1985, and under his leadership our new church was
dedicated in 1993.  Fr. Erdle retired in 2005.

Currently, the Rev. Louis A. Siranni is Pastor of St. Mark's
and Father Frederick Bush is in Residence.  The Parish is
currently comprised of almost 1500 registered members.
