Father Frederick Bush, In Residence
Deacon Frank Pettrone
Deacon Frank Pettrone was ordained as a Permanent Deacon on June 3, 2006 for the
Diocese of Rochester. Deacon Frank and his wife Elizabeth have three children and
currently live in the town of Greece. He grew up in Rochester and obtained his B.S.
degree in Chemistry from R.I.T. He also obtained an MA in Theology from St. Bernard’
s School of Theology and Ministry. Liz grew up in Horseheads, NY and also attended
St. John Fisher College. Deacon Frank currently manages the Rochester Technical
Center of Entertainment Imaging at Eastman Kodak. During his four years of diaconal
formation Deacon Frank has ministered at Monroe Community Hospital, the Monroe
County Jail and the Newman Community at the U of R. He was assigned to St. Mark’s
Church in July of 2006.
Christopher L. Bush, Business Manager
Christopher grew up in Williamson and has been active in both the Rochester and
Finger Lakes area his entire life. A graduate of Bishop Kearney, he then went to work
as an Office Manager for Fritz Companies until their merger with UPS. From there he
worked in Marketing and Product Development for Xerox traveling extensively
throughout the South East on the Pixography Project. He spent the next several years
working in the arts as the Business Manager and co-owner of a very successful
Dance and Theatre Arts Studio, producing, directing and even acting in such historic
venues as the Smith Opera House in Geneva. He met his wife April while in Geneva
and have since had two beautiful girls. After spending a year with Ford Motor
Company he accepted the position of Business Manager at St. Mark's in July of 2007.

Joseph Ilardo, Music
Joseph Ilardo was born in Rochester and graduated from Benjamin Franklin High
School in 1956.
After graduation in 1963, he entered the U.S. Air Force Band in Washington, D.C. as
baritone soloist with the Singing Sergeants where he studied with Todd Duncan.
During his stay in Washington, he sang with Washington Lyric Opera, Sokol Society,
Arlington Light Opera, Little Theater of Alexandria, two summer seasons with Lake
George Opera, taught at the University of North Dakota and won numerous
scholarships, one of which allowed him to go to Europe and audition for Opera
houses.
He worked for 10 years for the U.S. Army in Karlsruhe as a Music Specialist where he
Conducted Music Recreation Program for military personnel and directed Musicals
and concerts.
He participated in the Institute of Voice Performance Pedagogy at Oberlin College with
Richard Miller in 2002.
He attended the Festival di Musica da Camera in Italy where he performed the role of
Dulcamara in “L’Elisir d’amore” with Raffaele Ponti during the summer of 2004.
