Becoming a Catholic...

Do you know someone, or are someone, who:
• Has not been baptized and would like to be baptized into the Catholic Faith;
• Is a baptized non-Catholic Christian and would like to become Catholic;
• Has been baptized Catholic but has not received the Sacraments of Confirmation and First  Holy Communion?

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which individuals become Catholic and receive the sacraments of initiation — Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist. It also involves the parish community through a renewal in faith as it prepares and welcomes new members into the Church.

We also adapt the process for children over the age of 7 who have not been baptized. Parents or guardians may call to obtain more information. Parents with children over the age of 7 who have not been baptized are encouraged to call to discuss the process which is specifically adapted for children. Parents are encouraged to participate as well!

Are you curious or interested?
We would be happy to discuss the process and answer any questions you might have. If you have ever thought about becoming Catholic and would simply like to discuss this further, please see Deacon Frank Pettrone for more information.  If you are interested or simply curious about the Catholic Faith . . .Please contact: Deacon Frank Pettrone at 227-6824 x205, or by email: frank.pettrone@dor.org for more information.

Please contact us before September 17, 2023 to participate in this year’s process.
